What does TDS Deduction in InDrive?
TDS, or Tax Deducted at Source, is a small Amount of your earnings that Ride/Cab companies like Rapido, Uber, Indeiver & Ola are legally required to deduct and pay to the government on your behalf. For InDrive Driver, the TDS rate is 1%, and it’s applied every time you receive a payout from the app.
Here’s what it means for you:
If you earn ₹50,000 in a month, ₹500 (1%) gets deducted as TDS.
You’ll receive ₹49,500 in hand – even though you earned ₹50,000.
This deducted amount is reported to the Income Tax Department under your PAN number. The good part? If your total income is below the taxable limit (₹2.5 lakh/year), you can claim this entire amount as a tax refund.
